Myofascial Release (FSTT)

Myofascial Release

Soft tissue refers to tissues that connect, support, or surround other structures and organs of the body, not being bone. Soft tissue includes tendons, ligaments, fascia, fibrous tissues, fat, synovial membranes and muscles, nerves and blood vessels. Within functional movement soft tissue’s must have relative motion to allow for optimal joint motions. When abnormal restrictions are identified, techniques for restoring soft tissue health are warranted.

Myofascial release improves not only the soft tissues health but also your function. At Impact Physical Therapy we perform many forms of myofascial release including Functional Soft Tissue Transformation (FSTT).

FSTT is a safe and very effective hands-on  technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

The use of FSTT allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which our therapists use a multitude of FSTT techniques and functional movement therapy.
