Here are 7 effective ways to love yourself- and all are things you can do and try today!

  1. Put the phone away– spend at least 1 hour a day away from your phone. computer or tablet. The world will not end if you don’t check your Facebook news feed every 5 seconds. Respond to the random text messages later. Its time to remove yourself from technology and relax! Meditation, prayer, and or reflection are all great ways to ease your mind from the daily chaos.
  1. Consume Brazil nuts – Brazil nuts contain high levels of selenium which is a trace mineral important for immune function, cognitive function, fertility for men and women, heart function, diabetes, thyroid function, inflammation, and much more. Brazil nuts will also keep your hair and skin looking healthy and young.
  1. Sleep – Adults should sleep 7-9 hours a night. Stop checking your Facebook or watching the late night news until 11 pm. Try getting up early and being more productive, less stressed to get to work, and more time to eat a healthy breakfast.
  1. Drink more water – drink at least half your body weight in ounces (oz.). This will increase your energy, help remove toxins, help to lose weight, promote healthy skin, fight infection, promote a healthy brain and heart, and can improve arthritis and pain. Best way to start your day
  1. Exercise – 30-60 minutes of moderate-intense exercise per week (5 days a week). There are so many studies, and articles that show how important exercise is for overall health and wellbeing. This link shows 50 reasons to exercise: 50 reasons to exercise
