The holidays are upon is, and we are sure the gym may be the last place on your mind lately. Between wrapping presents and preparing for your next holiday party, it is a busy time of the year! Well have no fear, Impact Physical Therapy is here with another tip of the week, and this one you can do anywhere, at anytime. We are sure a lot of you have done a plank or two in a workout, right? Well why not spice up this fitness movement and make a workout out of it! Here are some fun tips to help create a plank workout:
Incorporate Your Arms
Use your arms to help facilitate the movement, movement out side to side one by one, or sideways to make it even more challenging. Another great movement is reaching for your opposite shoulder while in the plank.
Use Your Legs
No really, use them! move your legs into your chest one by one, while in the plank. Circle them in, and out, to help feel the burn in your core.
Add Weights
If you are looking for a bit if a bigger challenge, at some weights! You can do a great side plank and use some dumbbells to get a great arm workout along with the plank
Remember, our body likes constant change when it comes to workout out, so spice up your movements!
