Elise is originally from Akron, Ohio and received her Bachelor’s in Physical Education with a concentration Athletic Training from Denison University in 2011. She continued her education at Duke University, where she graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014.
Elise began her career in Greenville, South Carolina, where she completed a 13-month orthopedic residency program with ATI Physical Therapy. During her time in Greenville, she assisted with data collection for research initiatives targeting management of the spine, shoulder, and knee in addition to providing coverage at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of The Carolinas orthopedic urgent care clinic.
Elise earned the credentials of Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2016 and became certified in dry needling in 2018. She completed a certification program in Sports & Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2022 and is a current fellow in training of Orthopedic Manual Therapy with the Institute for Athlete Regeneration.
Elise moved to Phoenix in 2017 and has had the privilege of pursuing both clinical and academic endeavors. Her clinical practice has heavily emphasized post-operative care and return to function. She currently practices at Impact Physical Therapy part-time.
She also is a current full-time faculty member of the Franklin Pierce University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where she manages the clinical education curriculum and assists with the musculoskeletal didactic curriculum. Her research initiatives investigate avenues to increase accessibility to physical therapy services to promote improved pain, function, and quality of life amongst various populations.
In her free time, Elise enjoys traveling, yoga, and any activity outdoors. One of her favorite parts about living in Arizona is the quick accessibility to hiking and camping!
