Parkinson’s Therapy

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic and progressive neurological disorder currently affecting more than 1 million people in the US. Incidence increases with age, and men are typically more affected than women. However, 4% of people with Parkinson’s disease are diagnosed before the age of 50. The best option for making lasting, life changing improvements is EXERCISE. Research shows early intervention and high intensity training are the best approaches to helping one battle this disease.

Our staff here at Impact is trained and experienced in a variety of interventions to help restore function and allow those affected to regain independence and improve their quality of life. There are programs designed specifically for improving these symptoms, with supportive research, such as LSVT Big and Rock Steady Boxing. Nutrition and hydration are also important components to battling this disease and can make a difference in everyday life.
