Jennifer (Jenny) Teslevich
Jenny earned her Bachelor’s from Arizona State University Barrett Honor’s college in Kinesiology. There she competed in division I volleyball and defended a personal thesis: Assisted Cycling Therapy (ACT) Improves Depression in Adolescents with Down Syndrome. She went on to attend NAU’s doctorate of physical therapy program and currently is in her last year of her doctorate physical therapy program. At NAU, she loved participating as a leader Tango for Parkinson’s, a student clinician for neurological programs, and as a research assistant. Her research includes: “Effects of repeated bouts of intensive whole body physical therapy in chronic stroke” & “Functional tests and strength to predict injury in D1 collegiate female student athletes” & determining the relationship between self-efficacy and self-perception in regards to injury recovery.
She is very passionate about injury prevention and improving function for athletes of all ages in order to return more equipped to handle the demands of their sport. She promotes an active and healthy lifestyle for all her patients and is available as a guide to help them achieve their goals. After multiple ACL injuries and a myriad of other issues throughout her collegiate career, she is determined to treat every person with genuine empathy, skilled care, and determination.
In her own time, she enjoys coaching sand volleyball, searching for her new weekly Arizona hike, camping, and laughing with friends and family.
